Adjudicator - Julian Ward
Julian Ward was gifted a 3/4 sized Spanish guitar by his parents on the Christmas of 1986. He went on to take lessons with the late local flamenco and classical guitarist Paul Hammond (who was himself taught by Juan Martin).
Julian went on to pursue music at The University of Exeter, and resumed his study of the classical guitar with lutenist and classical guitarist Stephen Gordon. Julian has since spent some years working for Hampshire Music Service and also working as a music coordinator and classroom teacher. These days Julian teaches the guitar in local primary and secondary schools, also giving occasional solo concerts and performs regularly at weddings and functions.
